A little boy goes to his dad and asks, "What is politics?"

Dad says, "Well son, let me try to explain it this way: I'm the breadwinner of the family, so let's call me capitalism. Your Mom, she's the administrator of the money, so we'll call her the Government. We're here to take care of your needs, so we'll call you the people. The nanny, we'll consider her the Working Class. And your baby brother, we'll call him the Future. Now, think about that and see if that makes sense,"

So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what dad had said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper. So the little boy goes to his parents' room and finds his mother sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room. Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed. The next morning, the little boy says to his father, "Dad, I think I Understand the concept of politics now." The father says, "Good son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about." The little boy replies, "Well, while Capitalism is screwing the Working Class, the Government is sound asleep, the People are being ignored and the Future is in deep shit."

That analogy is so screwed up; I don't know where to begin.

It's like trying to analogize space travel with a game of tag.

They have so little to do with each other, that to even try to compare them demonstrates a complete lack of understanding on the issue.

Capitalism isn't married to the government. Capitalism is run by the people... disproportionately the elite, but pick a system where that isn't true (such a system either doesn't exist or can't be achieved.).

In a democratic system, the government WORKS for the people. So make the nanny the government. This also makes sense, as Europeans seem to like what is called the 'nanny state' by many of its critics.

Children can't be used in the analogy because children have no right to power and everyone in a democratic society has a right to power.

The baby can be said to be the future, as can the child… so you can say they’re being neglected… but it’s easier to say that the house has no children then that they are being mistreated. I mean… how many children do you have per person in most European countries now?… like 1.2 per fertile woman right?… your population is collapsing.

A proper analogy would be a family where the man and women represent free citizens and the children represent children. They pay the government to protect the house and do some chores... but they can fire this servant at will.

I could make it more complicated... but I don't feel like making much of a point...

... not really... this is funny...
...the dogs were on a pee spree and just as the sun came over the trees across the street, Digger was shooting yet another stream as high up on a certain tree as he could, which is no mean feat when you're four-legged and have hip dysplasia, and I saw how he struggled to get his hind leg as high as he could, and I saw the look of determination on his face - I must cover every inch of bad wrong alien pee, even if I have to contort myself and endure pain to do so. And I thought - not kidding here - I thought, oh wow, that's kind of like politics: a constant game of covering the other guy's "pee" with your own so that yours is what everyone smells.

his was just socialist tripe....

You served a ball and I returned it.

The fact that you served in the first place shows that you were wound up to begin with.

that is, if we're really just trying to piss each other off...

instead of... you know... talking.

Douche.
