Hello everyone, I'm Nick (aka Almondjoy)!

Let's start out with the basics. I'm 15, turning 16 this March. I'm an avid World of Warcraft player and I have been playing ever since pre-BC. Besides that, I'm a pretty average person. My favorite real life hobby is BMX. It's so much fun! It takes a while to learn the tricks, but when you land the really difficult ones it feels great! My older brother recently got me into skateboarding, which is a lot of fun too, but it's hard to find the balance on a skateboard. I also enjoy dirt bikes, quads, airsoft & paintball, etc.

That said, I love gaming as well. I have been playing RPG's ever since I was about 5 years old, when my uncle introduced me to my first RPG, The 4th Coming. I've also played a ton of other RPG's, some of which are Diablo I, Diablo II, and obviously my favorite, World of Warcraft.

The reason I am applying to Heroes of the Command is that I'm looking for a mature, professional, and fun guild to progress through all of World of Warcraft's content with. The biggest concept in World of Warcraft is teamwork. None of the real, end-game content can be completed without players working together. I'm looking for a guild that understands this concept of teamwork, acknowledges it, and incorporates it into every group or raid in a mature and professional way, while having fun and enjoying every moment of play at the same time.

I love my class and spec, and have no plans on switching to Balance or Feral, or any other class, ever. I love my Druid and would not give him up for any character in the World of Warcraft. I've been told many times that I am an amazing healer, and also a very nice person to be around. I take constructive criticism very well and I'm always open to improvement. I love learning about new boss fights and trying to master them. As far as raid preparation goes, I always have tons of reagents, enough flasks to last for 20 hours straight (Flask of the Frost Wyrm), the best food I can get (Tender Shoveltusk Steak), potions, scrolls, etc. I love helping out a raid any way I can. I will always lend extra consumables to other raid members in need.

My professions are 450 Elixir Master Alchemist, and 450 Herbalist. I have just about every Alchemy recipe in-game (with the exception of a few pre-BC ones probably). I'm also leveling Cooking right now, which is at 415, and will soon be working on Fishing.

With all that said, I feel that I would make for an excellent addition to your guild. I can raid 7 days a week, Monday through Friday 7:00 PM - 1:00 AM server. On weekends, I can raid almost all day and night. However, if something comes up and I can't attend a raid for a certain night, I will let the appropriate raid leader know.

I will try to contact one of the officers or possibly GM tonight as soon as possible. Thank you for taking your time to read my application, and I hope to hear from Heroes of the Command soon!

Thanks for you application Almond and welcome to the application process. Thank you also for attending the Maly run last night.

The HotC application process can take some time, and a lot of it lies in your hands as an applicant. Best advice it to be patient, persistent and get involved with other HotC members.

Feel free to contact me in game (Anilyn), as well as Mikevbrandt our GM. Also feel free to join the channel "hotchat" as you will find many of us there looking for runs, and just chatting with friends. Other tools to really get to know some of our members is through the shoutbox here on the forums.

Best of luck with your application.

Hi Almond - thanks for applying.

At 15/16 you're going to be one of the youngest members of our raid group. There is a lot of rated R talk both in vent and in the /raid channel. You do seem to be a mature teen, but I just wanted to make sure that your parents, upon hearing "inappropriate" stuff through vent, won't just yank your cord out of the wall.

I think the average age of our raiders is probably around 23-25.

Just food for thought.

Keep up the app process. Stick with it, it's not short, but it IS worth it.
