Why I am applying to Hotc : Its the guild i spent the longest time in and made the most friends
Hi everyone. Some of you older members will remember me, some of you all wont and for those who dont know me , heres a little about myself.
I started playing world of warcraft in 2004 and quit in early 2007 ( i'll explain why below)
I joined Hotc in 2004 after befriending MVB during a ubrs run. That was when we hadnt started raiding yet and stayed up till and raided with until Naxxramas which was late 2006 if i recall correctly. Throughout this time i was only able to make 1 raid out of the 3 per week due to my time difference. ( I live in Singapore and we're ahead of server time by 12hrs) and due to that i was unable to make wednesday and friday runs.
So after being in Hotc for 3 years, i was then faced with a difficult decision, to stay and do 1 raid per week, or to join the australians in Kodoku who were playing on my time. I chose the latter albeit somewhat reluctantly as i had made some strong ties to this guild and the people here.
However even after i left, i would like to feel that i have remained a friend to most. I still helped out often in MC/ZG runs and various 5-10mans with hotc members.
Im sure some of you would like to know why I quit playing WoW and heres why. The guild i joined after quitting hotc raided 5-6 times a week and i basically suffered from burnout and playing so much was affecting my studies. So in early 2007 i decided to quit. So one and a half year later, im back and would like to just enjoy myself and play casually. And like i mentione above, i chose to apply to hotc because i still have some friends here and would like a fun and social environment to play this game in.
Finally a little about me personally. My name is Eugene and m 18 this year and am currently taking a Business Computing diploma. I live in Singapore which is 12 hours ahead of the server. My hobbies and interests include playing soccer, chess and obviously gaming. I can also speak 3 languages, 2 of which are english and chinese
Thanks for taking the time to read my application and i hope to hear from you all soon.
