i voted for 3, I stopped paying a whole lot of attention to the current event forums because i post, come back 4 hours later and find two more pages on the thread, and have to sort through half of them being flames.

No, JAD, there is no such pearl of wisdom. You're thinking of "an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" and the phrase that follows that now is: "and the whole world would be blind and toothless".

However, I think the phrase "do unto others as they have done to me" that he used was closer in what it was saying to "an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth".

I live by a different motto. Besides in mosts cases ( I know not all) I am retaliating. If you dont feel like pointing fingers at those that push first you should not be pointing fingers at all Saus. Not to mention your one of the biggest flamers on the boards. Do not try to teach me morals, I have my own principles.

I have voted 2, cos some peeps flame without actually realizing their doing it, and most should be given a chance, however, if any instances got particularly bad then I think they should be dealt with, but that should be done on a case by case basis. Just my £0.2.

In the last week Karma has done nothing that's offended me. There's been a few comments but that's to be expected in heated debate. I think he's doing a great job of moderating himself, and should be left to do that until he stops being effective at moderating himself. Same for anyone else.

i can get a little touchy lol and may stray across the line, however moderation of threads in a debate forum is a bad idea in my opinion, bias is inevitable, bias is the key to all debating, the facts always remain the facts but it is the bias of the individual which is how he/she relates these facts to others and the outside world.

This is a bandwagon of ideas that are threatened by my own - Nothing more or less. This is plan to even the meanest of people. You are all aware of this no doubt, but you're making a shallow attempt at obfuscation. Those with the power to act in this matter are not so foolish as to confuse the two.

when karma gets confused and has no real solid standpoint on an issue, he backs his way out by using words that he thinks other people wont understand. some do ;) and to them it may sound a bit silly!. <3 karma

that being said, option 1 is the only choice. dont moderate shit, that isnt what these forums are about. flames are deleted in every other forum, and if ever there is to be a place for heated discussion that COULD POSSIBLY turn a bit angry, this is the place. there are only two options/standpoints on this poll; Option 1 or Option 5. Any option other than option 1 is simply a variant of option 5.

Nonsense, I use the same level of vocabulary regardless. If you get confused, then it isn't due to my clouding... and making excuses other then that you don't know what hte word means is just sad.
