Google homcide map of Los Angeles

Basically it shows you a google map of LA with all the murders this year 500+ and counting overlaid on the map.


It breaks it down by age, ethnicity, sex, method, day of the week... etc...


Strangely most people seem to get murdered on sundays... by a factor of about 2 to 1 over any other day.


Maybe you should spend that day in church... or reading a book or something...

you can fast forward through them all by hitting the "over button" or by clicking on the months... there are rarely more then 25 murders in a single month... though... typically not too far from that figure.


What's nice about this map is it shows you where not to go. Everything between the 405 and Downtown... from the 101 to 105... I go to beverly hills sometimes... but honestly the traffic is horrible over there so I make a point of avoiding it.


Culver city has a lot more murders then I'd think. That's all gang violence by the way... the good news down there is that the area is gentrifying a bit... that should go away in the next 20 years.


What really impressed me though was how few murders there are in the Valley... Almost none... Might be a good place to move when I want a house... that or around Malibu...

Tbh, people get killed on sunday because of church. You know, jesus got killed on a sunday. All them cults kill on sundays usually. Furthermore, if your gonna cap a christian, kill em as they come out of church. Noone goes strapped into a church.
