For those who may not have seen this WoW Developer Chat (http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?topic=218.0). It has some interesting information in it. I, for one, wish they would add more content in the old world. The new world is just too small. Then again they had the same problem with the continents in the old world so I guess they just don't learn.

I'm in paperwork hell today. My computer had a bad-sector-induced crash yesterday. I lost about 2 days worth of work, which I now have to recreate.

Oh, yeah. I'm taking Thurs and Friday off, so am also scrambling to make sure everything is covered on those days as well. Yargh.

Ok I will take this moment of forum inactivity to get some help:

My boss asked me to make something that will wipe a harddisk and create a log of which disk is wiped.

I am using WindowsPE 2.0 to do it. I'm using diskpart and a little script that:
1- Map a network drive
2-wipe the disk with diskpart using a script that do:
2a- Select the drive and wipe it
2b- Create a log on the network share.

My problem is that the log do not contain any serial number. So if someone want to validate that the drive A has been wiped, they can't make sure because there is no reference to the seria number.

I have no problem working with WinPE but I am really nub in VBS and I would like to:
1- Map a network drive
2- Query for the serial number of the drive (manufacturer serial number)
3- Wipe the disk with dispart, creating a log on the shared drive using the value in 2 for log file name.

Sorry to bored you with this guys but you are my only hope :)
