So....any hunters saving for the Gladiator's Crossbow? It got nerfed on the PTR:

Gladiator's Heavy Crossbow
Soulbound
Ranged
196-295 Damage
+15 Stamina
Durability 90/90
Requires Level 70
Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 11.
Equip: Improves resilience rating by 11.
Equip: Improves ranged attack power by 24.

Taking off 9 top end damage may seem small, but that takes 26 damage off auto, which becomes 28 with RWS, and 62 off of crit damage.

I have no idea why they nerfed this, it makes no sense. I'm just glad I didnt spend any time pursuing it.

So...yesterday I camped Humar the Pridelord (unique black maned lion) sort of as a joke out of boredom, he's a rare spawn on a loooong timer. It was mostly just for the hell of it.

I log out in a bush under the tree where he spawns, go eat dinner and watch Heroes, etc. I come back, login, and I'll be damned, he's right there. So, drop a trap and start to tame him, and at about 90% tamed, a lvl 21 troll hunter comes racing over with his boar and tags him. (breaks my tame)

So I'm like "well that little bastard". I try to tame him back a few times, but the troll just keeps attacking him out of it. Finally I say screw it, and was about to hearth, then noticed the troll was having great difficulty killing him. (apparently he did not notice humar was an elite)

So....I watched Humar chew his pet up, then watched the little troll get pwned. Afterwards, I walk over and stand on the troll's body and tame the lion.

I felt so...unclean. so....dirty. but so....good.

I am not a Smirnoff fan, but anyone drinking that early in the morning either hasn't stopped from the night before, or is in for a long day and wants to get started right.

That stuff hurts my stomach or it just could be all in my head just to get me drinking non-girly stuff

Woot KaraLite downed Nightbane last night on the 1st real summon and he died at the 3rd try.

Yes - we ROCKED nightbane. Being a decently geared feral on that fight is incredibly fun - I get to dps the boss and then switch out and tank the adds. I felt like a real druid :)

It was really too bad that Finor wasn't there because the druid ultra-healing staff dropped. 50 spirit is so great for resto. Glad Holyban wanted the staff though.

Next up - the Prince. I think our trials on Aran will help our coordination on Prince.

Nightbane isn't "easy" in a flat out sense, and so it's amazing you got him on try 3 and congratulations. That being said, further fuel to my own personal fire burning brightly and emblazoning the words "NIGHTBANE IS NOT HARDER THAN PRINCE STFU NUBS" all over the forums I have access to.

Please, no apologists here. The troll...trolled you, and got jumped and slaughtered as a result by the mob you were trying to tame.

The only thing I'm sorry about is that you didn't make a movie of it happening and then post the link on his guild website.

Thanks for the grats and I definitely /agree. Prince and Aran are significantly harder than Nightbane. Illhoof is somewhere in the middle and I've never seen Netherspite.

I am debating on dropping my long time engineering profession for master axesmithing.

Problem is, I actually like my goofass gadgets, the teleporters, the underwater breathing helmet, Lil Smoky, and a few others. Repair bots have little to no use now, and the scopes are meh. I think I'm just 'comfortable' with engineering cuz changing professions is a big pita.

However, the way axes can be upgraded via Tier zones is pretty amazing. Our engineering review does not look to be very impressive, and I still dont know wtf a flare is supposed to be used for.

So, any blacksmiths/former blacksmiths have any suggestions? I'm not fully decided yet.

Putting cool effects around doorways (try it at aran)... and annoying people by putting the smoke on them...

And, for that matter, I'd dearly love to the shield drop. Would save me a crapload of Heroic Badges, to be honest.

I'm not an axesmith on Saff (armorsmith) but can tell you that leveling smithing is a pain but maybe not much worse/better than engineering. (I still haven't gotten my little druid much past making lures for me..lol) Think the part I hated the most was all the mithril quests. 900 bars of mithril for turn in's and crafting items to hand to the quest givers really sucked. Now to lvl it past 325'ish is also nuts, since the patterns that lvl me either have insane mats, (and the trained crafted items are bop O.o) or the patterns available other than trained ones are drops/rep ones.

But I think any profession is probably a lot easier to lvl once you have your toon to 70, since you don't have to fight so dang many mobs to get to the ore/herbs/etc. that you do if you level it as you are leveling your toon. (taking Maggs to Un'goro at about 8 lvl's below the mobs there to farm herbs to lvl alch was an interesting,,, and very deadly,, experience.. lmao)

Good luck with it should you decide to switch, and if you need a couple stacks of thorium when you get to that lvl crafting, let me know, I still have a couple stacks in Saff's bank.

We have had the healing staff once, and the feral staff once. However we are doomed with 4 decapitators in a row so yeah.
