There are a lot scarier things in the world than evangelicals. At least extreme Christians don't blow shit up like extremists from other religions... At least not on the same scale. You can't compare the pipe bombing of abortion clinics with at most injuries to something like 9/11.

Like a lot of people say around Christmas, leave the poor Christians alone. If you don't like them, don't talk to them, but don't put them under a magnifying glass and criticize what you think to be strange or even "fucking crazy." It would be very, very easy to do that to anyone or any group, so unless you're offering yourself up for scrutiny, don't pick on others.

One of those good ol' Christian morals, you know -- "let he who is without sin be the first to cast a stone"

Extremes are bad, no matter which side it is. Why cant we compare them? They both do wrong things, and as far as im concerned, they are nuts. Comon, bombing an abortion clinic can kill people too, burning cinemas down kills people too. Not in such a big scale as 9/11. But its still killing people...
IMO they are fucking crazy, comon, saying Harry Potter is an invention of the devil
rofl.

Kinda sad so many kids are being brought up by people like this.

And dont generalize, there are Christians, and extremists, just like you have muslims and extremists...
Im not saying anything about Christians, just about that group of people

Stop picking on these people... they have a faith... leave them alone. They generally don't bother anyone else and in a free society they have a right to believe what they want to believe.

They are NOT atheists. They believe in GOD. They believe in Heaven. They believe in Hell. They believe in Angels. They believe in devils/the devil.

Get over it. They are not atheists... so what? Enough.

they have a faith...

So does the muslim suicide bombers.

[CODE]hey generally don't bother anyone else and in a free society they have a right to believe what they want to believe./CODE]
They do, if they go around the streets and try to convert me to their religion, they are bothering me, if they think im a bad person for not believing in what they do, and try to convince me that ill go to hell, they are bothering me. If they bomb places, they are bothering me

I think both group of ppl are wrong. Bombing clinics and cinemas and killing abortion doctors is not any better than suicide bombing.

So does the muslim suicide bombers.
I'm embarrassed for you.

How can you say such frankly insane things without feelings a little ashamed?

What you said was a little like this:

Person A: I like the color red.
Person B: Hilter liked the color red.

It's literally that stupid.

Don't attack a people just because they have a religion. This is half the reason people FLED from Europe to America. Religious persecution.

Evangelicals believe have a religion that is stricter then most... however, they're generally harmless. Sometimes they get a bit crazy but no one puts up with that so it goes no where. But so do most large groups.

The communists have and continue to do more damage to any society in which they have significant power and yet they have no religion.

Having a religion does not make you crazy and not having one does not make you sane.

The world is not so simple. Simple people often like to generalize things so they can at least attempt to understand the world. I don't fault them for that because they typically don't have a choice. What is inexcusable is intelligent people adopting frankly stupid versions of reality that they picked up from idiots at some point.

They do, if they go around the streets and try to convert me to their religion, they are bothering me, if they think im a bad person for not believing in what they do, and try to convince me that ill go to hell, they are bothering me. If they bomb places, they are bothering me
Everything up to bombing you is freedom of expression, freedom of thought, and freedom of religion.

Again your sentiments are almost exactly why millions of people FLED Europe for it's religious intolerance.

As to bombs... that's extremely uncommon. So far as I know they've only done that to abortion clinics and that's generally stopped since they feel like people are at least listening to them now.

I think both group of ppl are wrong. Bombing clinics and cinemas and killing abortion doctors is not any better than suicide bombing.
I generally agree, however how many people have been killed by evangelical bombs and how many have been killed by Muslim suicide bombers?

No intelligent and honest person can claim they are comparable.

Love and peace, Karmashock.

so your saying that those suicide bombers in Iraq are far worse persons that the ones that bombed abortion clinics?

I was talking ABOUT that special groupo people, not about all religious people, sorry but those people ARE EXTREMISTS, and they do no good to society...

And no im not ashamed of what i said, i dont see any reason why I should be.

First,
you can't talk about individuals specifically in this issue as we're talking about larger systems.

Taken as a whole the islamists have done more VASTLY more damage and so are worse.

Second,
You're attempting to compare rarefied violence of a given type in the US with common violence seen in many countries throughout the world.

You should be embarrassed... if you're not then that's troubling in and of itself.

MMhhh, i just re read my first post, and sorry for the confusion, i didnt mean that ALL evangelical christians are fucking crazy, i was mostly referring to those shown in the documental.

Im just judging the actions, like you did in that tourists kill muggers thread.
If some1 bombs a clinic and tries to clik people, they are just as bad as those muslims who blow themselves.

See, your saying the action is not as bad? why? because muslims are infidels?
rofl
Explain me properly why I should be embarrassed of myself. For thinking different than you?

Before I address your post, please use [ quote] instead of [ code]. Thank you.

First, show me one article where someone was killed in an abortion clinic bombing. Usually they do that at night so no one would be hurt. That is what we call destroying a symbol to make your point.

Secondly, when people were hurt (I can only remember one instance, and it wasn't serious), the aim wasn't to kill. This is quite different than running onto a bus with a bomb strapped to your back.

Why don't we just keep this specific to people that blow people up.

I think you'll find less disagreement there.

As bad individually as people?

Yes, I agree. The people that blow up abortion clinics ARE terrorists.

So Yes, I agree again they are INDIVIDUALLY as bad.

However, as a MOVEMENT... that is COLLECTIVELY they are less damaging, less active, and generally make a point of not blowing up just any thing randomly.

Explain me properly why I should be embarrassed of myself. For thinking different than you?
If you're inferring the terrorists we fight in the middle east and the evangelical movement are comparable then you should be ashamed.

If you are simply saying that on an individual level the bomber who blows up an abortion clinic is the same as the other terrorists then you are right.

The only resembalance Muslim terrorist and Christian terrorist is that they both believe in some sort of faith, but the Muslim take there faith to the extreme more then christian do in my opinion.

Bombing a clinic isnt right obviously, but its like comparing a mountain to a molehill if your comparing them with Muslim bombers.

I personally dont think all christians act like the ones shown in this thread, there are alot that go to church near me who wouldnt dream of doing stuff like that but still have a faith, they also don't go around knocking doors trying to persuade people to join there faith.

But at the end of the day, in term of terrorist acts at this point, you cannot compare Organisation such as Al'quieda ( not sure on spellig ) and some christian groups that believe in their faith stronger then others maybe.

Edit: but thinking on both veiws, not ALL Muslims are terrorist.

Christians aren't the only people that hate abortions. Since the person was not found and interrogated for motives, you can't say that it indeed was a Christian. And even if he said he was, I would tell him to his face that he was a disgrace to the Church and was not truly what he said he was.

that you reject him is good, but consider that many muslims have said the same thing of the terrorists.

it's likely that he/she is christian... just statistically... and that is something the evangelicals DO have to watch and try to stop in their own community. But as I said before, it's relatively uncommon... I think there is less then one of these attacks a year... and they generally don't harm anyone... buildings... yes... but people, rarely.

That doesn't make it anywhere near right... as I said before, on an individual level I see them the same as other terrorists.
