First released on Amiga in 1990. I still play it on PC as an Amiga emulated software.

In this game there are 3 types of matches: single match, Knockout and League. You can play with friend one 1v1 match too. It is mostly single player game. The most fun is the League. 8 teams in div 2 and 8 in div 1. You must place second in div 2 then win 1 play playoff match so you can be in 1 st div. You start from div 2 playing first game is the hardest cause you have shit team and your opponent is far better. With some good team cooperation and determination/aggresion you can win it. You Bank is growing from match to match and you can upgrade your players or buy proffesionals. Pros are great, fast and strong, this is the key to win as this game is handball Americanfootball mix with lotta more aggresion. On the playing field you have diffrent points markers. Goal is 10 pts you can make it x1.5 or x2 if you run the ball in special places on the sides of steel pitch. you can shoot the star shaped markers on the sides of the pitch which are 2 points each and many more things that make you have more points. I wont tell you all.
Yesterday I played League with friends. There were 3 of us. We switched every game. So everyone played every 3rd game. We played till 2 a.m with have beers and lot of fun. Definitelly recomended.

And xenon 2 - that was about the same time.

Just a little bit before that there were classics like defender of the crown and carrier command.

Holy Crap i still have my Amiga, my gf keeps trying to throw it out but i will neva let the bitch, speedball 2, Stunt Car racer, Civilisation, Xenon 2, Gods was ace, as was cadavar (still wounder how he could jump so high with such ikkle legs, and pulling all those levers got to be a nightmare when you got killed at a bad place)

Come on defender of the crown was wank reminds me of Pirates actually now i think about it, i really enjoyed it for the first few days i had it then realised it was the easiest game in the universe. though the jousting was fun.

Speedball the original was fantastic in its day just never had the loopy things at the side of the pitch
