TLSC Mini-Meet -- RL

Angel and I have discussed over IM the potential of TLSC members getting together sometime in July/August/September to have a good time just for shits and giggles.

I am a big fan of the idea, and think we should make it happen. The first request I have, of course, is that people with potential free time in July/August/September post their interest here, so that we have a VERY rough idea of a headcount for planning. Also, throw out ideas, please.

I know that Blacksand, myself, stealth, Bentusi and laser at the LEAST live within a rough driving distance of DC (I'm very close, blacksand is further, but not TOO far). There may be others, especially among the new crop; I also know there are people like lard and Justice who aren't TOO far away. SO, we might consider the US Capital as a potential meeting place.

Drop ideas out, sign up for interest, I'm off to work, hope to see some names and faces when I get home tonight :)

i ve "studied" in Ghent so i know the good places to be ( street full of pubs ) , the last pub closes at 10 in the morning .

DRAWBACK : no crashing facilities IE no sleep till train back

alternate location : stratumseind in Eindhoven ( street full of pubs )
i think i even could get some hotelrooms for us there but you ll have to splitt the costs

PS -- Angel is right; to start making arrangements, we need a date soon; again, if you CAN come to a US meet, list the times you KNOW/BASICALLY know you could make it for, all weekends preferably, since that's the best overall time off for most people; also, be prepared to share your photo with at least me and angel and/or other arrangers privately so we know who to look for at airports and what-not lol

Brussels as capital of europe has a good railconnection , but the majority of the people there speak french and are a bit uptight .

i am going to hold a TLSC BBQ on sat 9 july 2005 in Belgium , Limburg .

every member who is 16 or above is invited ( sorry guys -16 , thats the drinking limit in belgium )

the date can be adjusted so more people can actually make it .

you are all welcome i will spring for the food and drinks but i will be asking for a donation . if you are still in college or don t have a job contribute what you can and seems fair, the workingclass are asked to be generous ;)

i only have one guestroom but i do have a garden which can hold 10 tents easily . the cops won t be a problem my only close neighbour is really old and rather deaf . i am sure i can work something out with the other neighbour .


in the unlikely event a american is joining the bbq i am willing to come pick you up at the national airport .
if you are comming with the train i will come pick you up at the regional trainstation ( 25km away )

you could make it a weekend Belgium ( camping opens fryday 20.00 ) the only thing my wife asks is to be out of our garden by sunday 20.00h , clean up the shower after you used it and don t expect food (except for the bbq ;) )
