Well a few thank yous need to go out:

1) First to MVB and crew for helping me get the key fragment from Arc last night.
2) To Nayle and Co for the Black Morass runs. I hadn't seen the place yet and it is definitely a) different and b) fun. The only draw back to it, is you have to have good class balance for it. It isn't a place where you could wing it with bad balance.

A few accomplishments:
1) I dinged 375 blacksmithing last night. Ya it cost me an arm and a leg but now I don't have to worry about it. This means a couple of things. I can now make the Eternium enchanting rod. Sorry folks this one won't be provided to most people unless you fork over the mats. It is too expensive to make. I can now upgrade my chest piece. Of course all that I need for it is 10 primal nethers...AHAHAHHAA. By the time I get 10 nethers I doubt the chest will be worth it.

2) I dinged honored with Aldor. This entitles me to make plate FR gloves....woohoo....not. Not sure what else I can get with it since I didn't really look...crappy head enchant or is that with revered?

So I will be looking for a Black Morass crew today around 430ish to finish my key. If you have a healthy desire to attend said instance, send me a PM. Please include if you need it for the last part of the Karazhan key as well as I am going to try and defer to those people.

Yeah so Im up and cant play wow because of rez sickness, here is why.

So didn't sleep a lick last night, no idea why just tossed and turned. So i got up thinking that the fiance would at least get some sleep.

Im out in netherstorm questing, you know charge kill, charge kill. And boom i charge through the world not once but twice in a 10 min period the second time i couldn't get close enough to my corpse to rez. So i had to spirit rez, sweet job with charge blizz, sweet job.

Morning all. :howdy:

Quoted from yesterday's thread. Apologies for not posting on this sooner fellas. My power was out from about an hour after the Underbog run until around 9pm est last night. Work was a no go as well since I had to dig out myself and my folks and arrange alternate heating for the house.

Underbog was sooo fun! I totally messed up on that final boss... I still feel like a shmuck. For those who were not there - I assumed the levitation effect was a stun as well, so I didn't even bother trying to heal while up in the air. Apo did all the healing on his own. He's a phenomenally kick-ass healer.
Before then, we ran slave pens with Slasha, myself, Kai, Thyratron and Metis. I was on main healing in my feral spec with Thy as my backup with his moonkin spec. There were definitely some close calls, but we wiped the place clean with only 1 death!
Very fun runs... I think I need to spend time actually doing the Zang quests so I can move on to the next zone.


I really enjoyed both runs Shifta mentioned. Very different feeling groups and educational. I've never played much with a balance druid (Thy) and it's been awhile since I ran a five player instance with a warlock (Metis). That group impressed me with DPS, CC on the fear mobs, and the amazing healing Shifta managed even with a Feral spec. Slasha tanked at level 61, which I was nervous about since our healing crew consisted of feral and balance druids, and did a great job.

The Underbog run was literally the smoothest five player run I've ever been on. I literally can't say enough about Apo's healing abilities. <3 Apo! Finn's absolutely right that a pair of rogues can throw out the stuns and CC pretty effectively (when there's humanoids around...). Not sure Apo needed that extra cushion the stuns provided, but a well-controlled battlefield is a good battlefield, right Finn? ;) Feral Shifta slept fear mobs, off-tanked, off-healed, and threw out plenty of rogue style DPS when we needed it. Winsome/Sigil does fantastic work tanking, even if Slasha would have handled things a little differently.... :P The DPS did seem pretty sick. I'm excited about getting that group together again and trying a different instance to see if things continue to go that well.

Electricity permitting, I will be online at 7pm this evening hoping to run some instances. I believe Apo said he'd be around this evening, and Shifta said he'd try his best to be available. Win/Sigil isn't available until 10pm, but I hope he'll join us when he does get online. Finn, you're welcome to bring the rogue or whichever version of you you'd prefer to anything we can get going tonight. I'm wanting to get a look at the Tombs and Crypts, but I'll go with whatever you guys want to do.

FYI - Shifta wants exalted with Cenarion and I expect that will mean a LOT of instance runs in Zang. I'm going with him for as many as he wants.

Heh, good news Shifta. Glad you'll be there. I may try to make it on that early as well. I'm trying to lay off the questing a bit (for rep purposes) and do more instances. I know it's more rep efficient, and a good learning experience for me. I LOVE the questing, but I'm going to have to grind rep at some point for keying, and I'd prefer to do some of it sooner rather than alter.

I finished reading the thread from yesterday. We were pretty good at avoiding deaths in general in both those runs. I think I did the bulk of the dying. :P As Schwei said, I did indeed "take one for the team" in the first run, and died twice on the Stalker in the Underbog. Don't feel too bad about your oops there Shifta, I messed up in that fight too. I forgot I had recently acquired Cloak of Shadows. I assume that would have worked to wipe away the massive DoT that killed me both times.... /sigh

I would like to take this space to thank Allia, Waibanez and Ceries for their loans and donations to me last night. Allia loaned me the necessary 7 primal fires and 4 spellcloth to complete the second piece of my spellfire set, the Spellfire Gloves. On those two pieces of gear, I have somewhere near 60 crit rating and 135 spell damage. Again, THANK YOU ALLIA!

I wanted to thank Waib and Ceries for donating a few precious gems to drop in my bracers (Waib) and giving me a ridiculous overflow of fire power pots (enough to last for weeks, for sure). I really appreciate it, guys!

That all aside, I am excited about tonight. Nuff said there.

Kai - I was just thinking the same about the rep grinds. Questing is good exp, but that is rep you could be getting when instance trash stops giving it to you. Hard choice to make.

Pretty cheap - tank an instance for lowbies, and you get adoration :)

I still got Cenarion rep in Underbog and I was honored before we went in. There may be a cut off or reduction in there somewhere, but it didn't TOTALLY dry up at honored. I've already messed up my HH and Cenarion rep grind from blowing through quest after quest with little instancing/repeatables, probably Kurenai too. I'm hoping that I haven't done the same with Lower City, but until recently, I've taken about every quest as soon as I've seen it. I don't necessarily care about optimizing, but grinding rep from honored up looks harder than it could have....

I got 5 new patterns/2 blue ones/70 last night/nowhere on my kara quest/Honored Aldor/and the one mage who helped me from 68 to 70 while I was holy/prot specced, Thanks Ceries!

I think I heard Waib made 70. :P I'm mostly lagging around seeing the sights, but I may tune it up a bit over the next week or so. I'm kinda excited about recent groups so I hold out high hopes for my instancing future.

Edit: I'll hopefully start my key work this weekend and do what I can pre-70.

Aldor, midway to honored. I should probably work on that more, but I've had "better" options recently.

Levels: I'm almost halfway to 70. 3 bars to 65! In my mind, I already have a K-mart key... in reality I'm still level 64.

Crafting; I have decided that I am going to stop leveling any crafting skills. I dont find crafting fun. I should probably just drop tailoring on shifta and pick up mining or herbing for the cash value. I think I'll keep enchanting because then I can almost always get my own enchantering supplies... although I can't do any useful enchants at all.

Mages: My favorite mage is a tough one. I wouldn't want to name names, because invariably if I name a "favorite" then all those not named will assume that I dislike them in some capacity, which is not true at all. There are a few mages from my previous guilds that I do miss - Zarakaar (of PRG), Alencelin (of CVN). Of course, my favorite name for a mage is Arcannibal :)

Crafting: as I said earlier I am a 375 BSer. I can make uber enchanting rod. I can also make uber armor that only I can wear. I am betting there are some more 375 patterns out there I just don't know where to look for them. I will probably do that at some point in time today.

As for JCing I am hoping that we get Orein into Karazhan and they do well enough to allow him to buy the +18 sta metagem. That way I can start wearing a cool helm and say good bye to the wrath helm. Waib is slowly catching up to Orein, he just needs more recipes.

Shifta I would pick up herbing. With all the consumables that we are gonna need to succeed in the future, having free herbs is ftw.

I dinged 70 sometime last week (no i didnt mark it I actually didnt wanna hit 70 i was having fun with my quests.. But dear lord i am enjoying the high amount of gold :O ) I dont know about jewel crafting except that Waib has it, and I am Revered Scryer :D So i can make Major Fire Power to add to my list of stuff i can make :D (I also have all the "fel" recipes.. they have debuffs so i see them as not being ALL that useful like the fel strength raises AP by 120 for an hour but it debuffs you with -20 STA for an hour so yeah. But I so have Insane Strength and Destruction as well... those are like 15 second flasks) WTB some recipe drops please... And as far as Kar goes I am no where on that line but i do need Botania and Mech for my Arc key.. SO if anyone needs a mage to sheep and frost things let me know!.. Hopefully blizzard will pull its head out of its ass and i can lvl my other priest soon. It's sad I'm actually itching to heal something o.O I wont name a favorite mage but can I name my favorite Pally? :P

Shadow Labs will always give lower city rep, and any Tempest keep instance will give Sha'tar rep.

Actually, Shifta. Your druid should be the better herb farmer in the long run since Tauren get +15% to herbalism...that caps at 390...unbuffed. :agree:
