The screenshots look tasty, and various former Westwood staff are working on it.

Luke: The Empire is attacking! Where is my lightsaber?!
Han: Relax dude... we got some other stuff for ya
Luke: A new X-Wing? Bring it in quick then!
Han: Nah.. you see...our guy decided that hes out of money for these things. So he developed something else for us instead.
Luke: What is it?
Han: Well, I cant tell you precisely, but it looks like its another computer game.
Luke: Oh shmucks! Didnt I tell them that my andriod clone generates much more money waving with CGI generated sticks on the big screen and dropping cliched one-liners??
Han: Yeah, you did. But they just dont wanna listen. They say they must feed some big wookie going in the name of "Westwood".
Luke: Yeah yeah we all heard that before. Just make sure that my image is in that game, and that it is co-published by this Rodian.. whats his name? Ah yeah "EA". He makes excellent drinks you know...

I'm really interested in how they're going to go with using 2 different kinds of engine in one game. The idea of space/ground combat has been tossed around before, but was dismissed as impractical so I'll have to look out for it's implementation.

Well, this looks to me like a seriously buffed up version of ol StarWars: Rebelion.

And that was great, though its graphics sucked and there were no tactics in the battles, so this should be fantastic :D

I hope they manage to break with the norm of bad SW titles...

I think if it's a good space rts, it'd be very cool.

It'll be land and space, from what those screenies show.

Question is ... how will they integrate it? Maybe like ... land and space campaigns separate?

probably like some sort of armies of exigo thing.

My experiance is that the only thing multi-surface RTS's do is make it more complicated and less fun.

Now if they did it like Imperium Galactica 2 style I would spurt everywhere, but unfortunately nobody else seems to care about that game :(

There used to be a time when LucasArts meant quality :<

Bentusi i love that game, the interface was a nightmare but once you got used to it the game was fantastic and so in depth, i played the first one too omg that was a long time ago, eeeeeeeeeek pirates blow them up. God i waunder if i still have it, it would run on my lap top, oh actually will it be ok with XP, i play imperium Galatica 3 mate now or nexus as they have called it.

I know, I was doing acrobatics when they announced IG3. But it's nothing at all like IG2, and therefor sucks donkey balls.

My dream game would be IG2 with more in depth space battles (the ground battles were ok, but those could be improved though) and much better graphics. It would be an instant blockbuster
