I made the switch from Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox this morning, because I'm sick of these popups and that spyware worming their way into my system.

That prompts curiousity; which do you use?

cheers, and

I used opera for ages. But it can't open gmail. Boo, mozilla now...it's pretty good ^^.

For the record, Firefox and Mozilla are diffrent, Firefox happens to be made by them. But they are two diffrent browsers.

Explorer. I cant afford the mozilla due to limited system resources (Have to allocate everything to DoW :) ).

In the processor requirement - yeah.

Thats why DoW is my last MP game in this era (that is until I am set up with a perm. satisfactory job, and thus a new gaming rig) and this is why I am so dedicated to it. :)

I use internet explorer because mozilla doesnt allow runescape sounds and most plugins have to be manually i simply updated my internet explorer with a great free pop up blocker

Firefox also has some speed issues therefore i say it sucks

:woowoo: IE!!!

or so i hear.............

Karmashock

hmm... Mozillia is worth it dispite it all. You get window tabbing, better security, and it's an independent app. Which means that if explorer errors out all your pages don't close... I hate that.

Yeah .. I'm sick of IE just unexpectedly quitting whenever I'm in the middle of something important.

I made the switch yesterday, but already, no fucking pop-ups every 3 links I click on. And, actually, for me, Keeper, Firefox is much faster than IE.

I also use Firefox, the only real downside I can see for it is that certain websites wont function correctly since Firefox blocks a lot of the stuff from those sites like ActiveX, but I heard this is all for security measures....

Its faster yes but its got speed issues in loading programs on sites not the browser speed

Karmashock
Jan 4, 2005, @ 07:48 PM
you can still get adware and spyware for it... it's just less likely to get it the same way that Macs are less likely to get viruses...

Papa Smurf
Jan 4, 2005, @ 09:51 PM
slim browser

Justice
Jan 4, 2005, @ 10:44 PM
However, Karma, the point is that Firefox does indeed get less adware and spyware.

It's true ... whenever I run Adaware SE or Spybot, I get less hits now than I did running IE. There aren't any popups annoying me every few pages on Firefox, as well, unlike those irritating things on IE.
