Graphic Challenge

These forums should not be dead! I demand life in them!

Anyhow, I was wondering if people would be in interested in a graphic challenge. Basically it would be like this:

A base image is posted for everyone to work on!
Everyone must include the base image somewhere in their finished product in a RECOGNIZED fashion.

Now people must save a half completed image and fully completed picture.

People post their finished picture, but the half way image is then passed on to another artist to allow them to finish it. The original artist can be kind enough to leave it layered or compressed.

The artists then finish the half completed image in whatever manner they wish, and post the final product.

Then we can vote on which completed original piece has the best appeal and then which rotated image has the best appeal as well. Then put those two together in a death match!

I was on this weekend, tried to talk to you, but you weren't there or my aim is just that out of date, lawl. I'll probably be on late tonight, but on tomorrow fo'sho after class (9pm EST).

I'll provide the image, I was thinking of a doll, chair, a manquin. I need to shuffle through my stock photography.

As for what we can do, painting it, minipulate it and vectoring is all fair game, even traditional art if they can scan it.

I can't wait to see what your image will be! I'm very curious to how this will all turn out, as well. I took a peek at your website gallery and your deviantart. We have very different styles; it should be an interesting turn out.

And, yes the forum is weird today(I see your deleted post)... I've been making double posts all day and having to delete the second one. GAY!

I haven't been active at DA much or on my gallery since I have several serious images in progress, but you can see my over all style. People call me the "Colour Nazi" as a joke because you might have noticed my extreme use of colours.

I have a picture of a watch as well, so much to pick from! I'll sit down tonight and post the image tomorrow. ^ ^

I like that picture of the clock, I like it a lot. WE SHALL USE IT! (if you want to, too ..and we can)

Instead of one of us starting first, I think we should both work on it.. post what we have, comment.. critique, make changes and see if we can combine them in any way. Then if someone else wants to do a version they can, it can be combined.. and so forth. I think if we both work on it and see the results at the same time right in the begining we can get more ideas from eachother. Therefore improving our pieces and the combined piece.

I love color as well. I use it a lot in graphic art. Not so much in traditional art.. because I prefer my graphite and white paper... but I will still use it (my avatar for example).

And we shall use the cloak, Krissy is fine with it. She just wants to see final products. Especially it's the least she can do since she broke my tablet pen. :tantrum:

Official start day is tomorrow, we post every day our progress of our pieces and we can even pick up on the other's piece, working on it instead or combining it. At the end of week 4, we are done and we post what we finally "completed" or try to. Feed back is always welcomed, as you said, and even try to use what the other has.

Another thing is, we should put this on the front page, as well. with a more neat line out of what's going on and encourage more to join in.

EVERYONE IS WELCOMED TO JOIN IN, EVEN IF IT'S TO CHANGE ONE THING ON A PIECE.

And we want people to comment as well. <3

Well, I didn't have time to start this project last night, but I will get an hour or two in tonight *I hope*. I'm really anxious to start this, and finish. I need to get it done by Saturday at the latest. Otherwise if I don't I won't have it done for another few weeks. I don't expect mine to take that long - 5 solid hours should be enough time for me to get what I have in mind done.

How is yours going, Kushiel? Did you start it?

Is anyone else planning on working on a piece for this challenge?

Running from campus to work, etc... Sorry for not being on, I'll be on late tonight, half past midnight and all that jazz. All I have done is the clock cut out. I need to work on my primarily sketch more.

And work on my homework, which can be put off until Sunday. I think.

Drinking isn't really gonna give you cancer. Will fuck up your liver tho (technical term cirrhosis).

Now I just need to find the time to finish my clock, eat, sleep, poop, go to school, and draw some more boxes. I am kind of getting frustrated in this one class, like.. last week we had to do a still life of boxes and now this week its a still life of boxes and cylinders. I'M SICK OF DRAWING BOXES. Oh, we draw boxes in class too.
