I need to know what the absolutely LEAST CPU intensive music player out there is, because when i play DoW, whenever WMP changes songs it causes my PC to slowdown which causes me to lag.

Old versions of winamp... That's what I use... It uses up about 1 percent of my cpu power on my 800 mhz system... you're not going to get much better then that.

Get an mp3 player, like I have. Then you don't take up any of your processor whatsoever.

Yeh, but he wants them actually existing on his hard drive.

I use MMJB, same as Psycho, and it doesn't seem to slow down computer usage too much. But I agree -- winamp is a low-leeching program.

cheers, and

i have an MP3 player, cat chewed through my USB adapter though so it's out of service currently, besides, it's nice to just beable to select a dozen songs i want right quick rather than put them on the player
