I joined TLSC at the release of DoW when i got to know several members of the command. I wound up getting to know them because i found members of TLSC to be some of the few teammates ic ould count on at the start of DoW. after a little while it was suggested i put in an app and within an hour i had the required recc's :D
I have a LONG history in gaming. My first system ever was an atari (i forget exactly which) and i started in the days of joust, defender and asteroids. I then got my nintendo and it was from then on i've been hooked. i have many fond memories of playing contra and super contra listening to Zrock 95.1 with my much older brother. After that came a sega genesis and more contra, goldenaxe, cyborg justice and much much more. A while later we got our first computer, and i pretty much left the console arena. The very first PC game i got hooked on was an old MUD (still around actually!) known as Gemstone 3. i used to wrack up 100 a month AOL bills. I continued to grow more and more into PC games and have actually never owned a PS1 or N64.to this day i only own a PS2 because i won it in a contest at work.
Nowadays i can be found playing Counterstrike quite a bit, and World of Warcraft.
I grew up with my father after my mom passed at 10, my brother was only a half brother so i only knew him on weekends. most of my life was pretty plain, although at a young age i learned a love for hockey. I suffered through chronic depression throughout most of my highschool years, due to a fallout with my father, problems at school, and to other personal reasons i didn't realise until after highschool. My senior year i realised one of my life's dreams and spent 4 months in japan as an exchange student, but due to several more problems i spent most of that time still depressed. I loved the country, just not my circumstances. After i returned home, my father had a heart attack shortly before my 18th Bday, and became permanently brain damaged and lives in a nursing home in missouri. Since that day, except for brief times with my ex girlfriend and my best friend, i have lived on my own. I recently came to indianapolis because of a cheaper cost of living here, and that pretty much leads us up to present day.
Other hobbies besides video games include reading, role-playing, sewing, skating, hockey, and writing. I write mostly fantasy work but have done several stories in other genre's including a matrix story and a warhammer 40k story for TLSC i'm working on now. My dream is to one day design video games, particularly storylines, but for now is onhold while i take care of other things before i go back to college.
well not sure what else to add. thanks for reading through all that! :)
Off to sleepy time now.
