Just for the hell of it im making a database of pictures of the craziest animals Ive ever seen. So Far I have :
Pictures of those crazy ass scorpions I asked about, some pics of those crazy ass worms MVB showed us that lurk at the bottom of the ocean and are super smart and strong, Angler fish pics, and a few more...
ALSO if yall have ever heard about these rodents that live in the north pole that have red fan like organs on their heads that they use to heat up the ice and move through it, they live together in the ice and they group up and melt the ice with all their super hot body temps and this releases air bubbles in the melted water inside the ice and they breath this air. They detect movement very acutely and they melt the ice under their prey and then the ice breaks it falls in and they use their huge teeth to rip it to pieces while it is still alive. They dont freeze because they move in huge groups and they warm the ice up together and they keep from freezing this way. They are white colored and hairless UBER-UGLY somewhat large in size and if you take them out of the ice and into the air even normal room temp they get too cold and die because they have no liquid to move their heat to so the air just cools them off and they are quite sensitive to temperature changes out of water.
I saw a story on them in scientific american years ago and I havent been able to find anything on them since.
I figured MVB would know because they are considered aquatic animals.
