I liked this comic because it described something that annoys me... does everyone remember the dixie chicks? Never personally heard a damn thing they've ever made... I don't like country music or whatever they make... but they're primarily selling to americans in what I shall call... the red states... And they go to London after the whole Iraq thing and open a concert by saying they don't like Bush or think america is wrong or something... they get cheers from the crowd... and a shit storm explodes in the US... especially around a lot of her fans that felt it was a pretty two faced thing to do... for various reasons which I neither agree or disagree with.
The point is that now they're going on talk shows and magazines talking about how persecuted they are... and how unfair it is for people think they're three douches... it's not something they're going to get forgiven for by bitching louder about it... and the people that will listen to them ultimately probably don't care to begin with.
And then Madonia's cross stunt was really over the top... I'm not offended by it at all by the way and I consider myself to be a christian... but it does strike me as pretty pretentious and she probably should have realized it was in extremely poor taste...
Anyway... I don't know if anyone has any thoughts on this... seemed worthy of some forum banter...
