No draft yet.

You can do computer programming, that means you won't be on the front lines. You'll probably be working with computers and technology on the home front instead.

Bush isn't dumb enough to do this. He realizes that if he institutes the draft soon, the Democrats will absolutely crush the Republicans in the 2008 presidential and congressional elections. Then again, if Iraq doesn't pick up before 2008 the Republicans are screwed regardless. Hell, the Republicans are screwed for this November's elections, too. Republicans chose the wrong political leader, because right now Bush is the source of most of the Republicans' problems ...

Bush/Republicans tend to lean toward anti-draft, whereas there's actually a block of democrats that is pro-draft, though mainly hoping to get it done so they can attack Republicans for it.
We won't likely have a draft unless there's a major war on multiple fronts, and Iraq isn't even 1% of what would be required.

How are Republicans "screwed"? If by "screwed" you mean "will still have a majority in both houses as well as the presidency," then yes, they are screwed. And even with Iraq, no chance Hilary Clinton wins against McCain in 2008. Hes a war hero, an "outsider" constantly crusading for finance reform, and is liked by independants and moderate democrats, whereas Hilary is a crazy pseudo lesbo feminazi. Hopefully he can shore up his support from the right wing and big business and get himself made candidate. Even if he doesnt, Gulianni vs Hilary will be a slaughter as well, as he can just play the whole "Bitch you aint even FROM new york, also remember I pimped mad bitches during 9/11 and got famous" card. Luckily for the rest of the country, democrats always run the worst possible candidate (lolz @ Kerry once again). They would have won with Clark in 2004, and anyone but Gore in 2000, and if anyone besides Hilary runs they have a chance (Whos that Democrat governer of Virginia again? Kaine or something?).
And the Republicans "chose the wrong political leader?" How do you figure that? A two term president is the wrong political leader? I mean, Bush is an idiot, but he still won in 2000 and 2004. So I guess Kerry would have been the right political leader? Unfortunately the country disagreed with you.

lol.... yea well... i am the cause of it all :-).... but w.e.... by the looks of it iran and North Korea are on the horizon... and now bush wont care wat happens since he knows he cant get relelected..... history is repeating itself if you take a look into the times before the great depression...... we are on an econimic fall... and its just gonna get worse while bush is president.... so the next president will work like FDR with new deal like programs to get us back on our feet....
gotta love history  (sarcasm)

Draft never went away, people just aren't called up for it.
Hence, why you still have to register for the selective service.
Fuck college, Dannyboy. Join up, it'll do you good.
You can turn into a batshit psycho passive agressive sexual tyrannosauras, just like me.
Failing that, you can host my balls on your chin.
I'd post your birthday present, but the last time I threw naked photos of Neb on the forums, it got me in hot water .. so instead, I'll leave you with the fondest wishes that the Minutemen mistake you for an extremely pale borderjumping beanfreak and send you off this mortal coil with a 30.06 migrane.
Remember kids, Baphomet watches and protects.

If we get desperate and recruit him in the draft, then hes going to be filling in on the line somewhere.

Joining the military turns you into a dinosaur? Holy shit that's awesome. Why isn't that in any of the military commercials?
